Which Cardmarket prices does Cardlytics save?
Cardlytics saves each card's Cardmarket prices in euros, once a day.
| Trend price | Cardmarket's estimate of what the card sells for now. The charts show this price. |
|---|---|
| Lowest price | The cheapest listing that day. |
| Average sell price | The average of real sales, plus the 1-day, 7-day and 30-day averages. |
The normal and the foil or reverse holo version of a card each get their own line.
What does price trend mean on Cardmarket?
The price trend on Cardmarket is Cardmarket's estimate of a card's current value, based on recent sales. Cardlytics saves the trend price every day, so you can see how that estimate moved over weeks and months.
A trend that climbs for weeks says more than one high sale. A single day rarely tells you much.
Why is the lowest Cardmarket price so much lower than the trend?
The lowest Cardmarket price is often one listing in worse condition or in another language. The trend price follows what copies actually sold for, which is why Cardlytics charts the trend.
TruePrice is Cardlytics' own pricing algorithm. TruePrice flags fake sales and price parking, so one odd listing doesn't fool you.
Why are Cardmarket prices lower than TCGplayer?
Cardmarket prices are often lower than TCGplayer prices because they are two separate markets. Cardmarket sells mostly in Europe, in euros. TCGplayer sells mostly in the United States, in dollars. Each one has its own supply and demand.
Cardlytics tracks both. Switch between TCGplayer and Cardmarket at the top of any page to compare the same game in each market.
How to read a Cardmarket price chart
- The line is the trend price on each day, in euros.
- Pick 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y or All to change how far back the chart goes.
- Move over the line, or tap it on a phone, to see the price on one day.
- On card pages, "vs 30-day avg" tells you if today's trend is above or below recent sales.
- A tall spike that drops back the next day is usually one odd sale, not a new price.
